Farm Shop

Blackmore Farm Shop is based in
a converted barn near the 14th Century Manor
House at Blackmore Dairy Farm, Cannington, on
the Bridgwater – Minehead Road (A39).
It was re-opened by Anne and John Piper in April
2007. Anne and John sell a wide range of locally
produced products and some products from further
afield to provide variety. They pride themselves
in excellent customer service with a personal
touch. The shop is spacious, suitable for wheelchairs
and pushchairs and has a disabled toilet. There
is ample parking outside the shop. There is
also a coffee shop where you can enjoy a cup
of tea and a slice of homemade cake, a cream
tea or a light lunch while browsing their local
art exhibition. They sell organic and fair trade
items where they can.
Their organic range includes:-

Farm in Cannington.
- Parrett Apple Juice
- Orchard Old Spors pork and sausages from
Martock, Somerset.
- Vegetables from Somerset Organic Link
- Yeo Valley Organics dairy items (yoghurt,
milk, cream, butter, crème fraiche)
- Godminster Cheddar Cheese
- Jane Maddern Goats and Buffalo Soap, hand
cream, foot balm and lip balm – made
in Burnham on Sea, Somerset.
- Rude Health Porridge
- DJ Miles Organic Tea Bags
- Somerset Honey
Their fair trade range includes:-
- DJ Miles Coffee
- Café Direct Coffee
- Divine Chocolate
- Clipper Chocolate Milkshake
They
are keen to support the local community and
sell a range of products grown in local gardens
such as apples, quinces, pumpkins, walnuts,
tomatoes, rhubarb, runner beans, raspberries,
peas, fresh herbs and pot plants.
They often hold events to promote local produce,
such as their recent Apple Day – celebrating
the excellent harvest of English apples this
year. The farm encourages visitors to view the
calves and milking time.
They have their own range of ice cream, produced
with milk from the cows on the farm, flavours
include the favourite Toffee (with honeycomb
pieces), Chocolate, Mint Chocolate Chip, Strawberry,
Blackberry, Vanilla.
They sell a range of local crafts, including
cards, jewellery, cushions, bags, paintings.
Anne and John have a facility

for online ordering. They also specialise in
hampers which make excellent gifts (for birthdays,
Christmas, Mother’s / Fathers Day, corporate
gifts). They have a range of standard hampers
containing a variety of delicious products or
you can choose your own products from the shop
and they will wrap them attractively for you.
They often hold cookery demonstrations,
with experienced Aga cook Ann Dyer. Ann runs
the nearby Manor House and if you have enjoyed
being entertained there then the cookery demonstrations
will give you the opportunity to discover some
